Hi All:

Itís difficult to think about the coming soaring season; after all itís still predominantly overcast, wet, and cold here in the NW. Nevertheless, it is a new year and regardless if snow is still in the forecast, it is time to start thinking about the 2007 season as we move closer towards spring.
During the 2006 US Nationals in Marfa we were talking about different ways to increase the visibility of the World Class. I love the On Line Contest (OLC). I love the way this format publishes the achievement of every pilot. The OLC also creates a lot of competitiveness amongst the different clubs. I think we should take advantage of this by publishing all our PW 5 flights as a club! If we all stick together and publish every mile we fly as the OLC PW 5 club, we could rank under the top 5 clubs in the US! I think this could be an effective way to increase our visibility! The key is we need to stick together and commit to file every flight in our PW's as the PW5 club.
So here is my commitment, I will file every flight in 2007 under the PW5 club. (I will get a lot of heat from the Seattle Glider Council; I contributed a lot of miles in 2007.) In addition, I volunteer to be the contact person for the PW5 OLC club, if anyone has a problem filing a flight, I will help to take care of the problem.
So, do I have your support?
Looking forward to your comments!
J.C.

Sounds fun. Let's try it.
If the weather in Chilhowee is halfway decent, just there we could post near 20,000 Km.
