I notice the Distance Around a Triangular Course record is open in the US World Class records. The speed around a 300K Triangle is filled. Just curious why the 300K distance wasn't filed also with the speed record.

Michael,

Since I flew a record 300km speed task, I guess I should answer your question. I did not claim the distance record when I submitted the claim for the speed record, mostly because I didn't think of it. I suspect that the record keeper did not fill the distance record because I didn't claim it.

Now you know that at least a 300km triangle can be flown, go do it! Claim the record for yourself!
