Q: What is the World Class Soaring Association?

A: WCSA's mission is to promote the sport of Soaring, with particular emphasis on the low-cost, monotype, Olympics-bound World Class and Youth support programs.

WCSA is a non-profit organization, operated solely through donations and volunteer time. All donations to WCSA are tax-deductible.

Q: What is a PW-5?

A: The PW-5 is the one design sailplane used in World Class soaring competition. A history of how the PW-5 came to be the designated World Class glider may be found at www.wcsa.org/history.htm

Q: What is a Pee Wee?

A: Although considered not so complementary by some, Pee Wee is the common nickname for the PW-5 in the U.S. Those of us who fly the PW-5 just consider this a term of endearment.
